Tamalpais Creek offers both independent living and assisted living. The building is located on a quiet street a few blocks away from the heart of Novato. Its neighbors include another senior living facility, apartment complexes and medical offices. A lovely wooded area and creek border one side. The entrance to the main building is reached by crossing a short bridge. Inside the high ceilings and multiple windows in the common rooms impart an airy feeling, reflecting the rural atmosphere. The facility’s patios, decks and gardens offer residents the opportunity to enjoy the mild climate. The décor is homey and pleasant. The dining area is very spacious. Food is served restaurant-style, with menu choices and daily specials. Residents describe the food as “fresh” and “gourmet.” The common areas are clean and well-maintained. Eight activity rooms located throughout the facility include recreation and fitness equipment. The majority of apartments are studios. Their proportions are more than adequate and all of the rooms have generous closet space.
