This Privacy Policy explains how Seniors Places LLC ("Seniors Places," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use SeniorsPlaces.com, our landing pages and the tools on them (together, the "Service"). It is written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and a person will answer.
The short version
- Families never pay us. Communities pay for listings and placement; we never take a percentage of a move-in.
- When you contact a community through Seniors Places, your details go to that community.
- When you ask us to match you with options, or you contact a community whose profile is unverified and has no email on file, we try to match you and get you in contact the best we can through a partner senior living advisor, who may call, text or email to help. Some partners pay us for that introduction. You can opt out at any time (see "Your choices").
- We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not share it for any purpose other than helping you find senior living.
Information we collect
What you give us. When you request information, schedule a tour, take the care quiz, use a landing page, create an account, write a review or contact us, we collect what you enter: name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or location, the type of care you are looking for, timing, budget range, who the care is for, and any message you write. Community managers also give us business contact details, listing information and, for paid plans, payment details handled by Stripe (we never see your full card number).
What we collect automatically. Like most websites we log IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, referring pages and the links you click, and we set cookies to keep you signed in, remember your comparisons and saved communities, and measure how the Service is used. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, the Meta pixel for advertising measurement, and Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms; each is governed by its provider's privacy policy.
What we receive from others. Review platforms we integrate with (such as Birdeye) provide public reviews of communities. Communities and partners may tell us the outcome of an introduction (for example, that a tour happened) so we can improve the Service.
How we use information
- To deliver your inquiry, tour request or quiz results to the community or advisor you asked for, and to send you a confirmation.
- To run your account, listings, billing and reports if you manage a community.
- To send senior living tips and guides if you opted in, and occasional news about Seniors Places to community managers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To measure and improve the Service, prevent abuse, and keep our records of consent.
- To produce aggregate, de-identified statistics (for example, average monthly rates by city). These never identify a person.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
Who receives your information
Communities you contact. Your name, contact details and what you told us go to the community whose page you used, so they can respond. They handle your information under their own policies.
Partner senior living advisors. If you use a matching quiz or landing page, or you contact a community whose profile is unverified and we have no email on file for it, we try to match you and get you in contact the best we can through a partner senior living advisory service, so a real person can help you compare options in your area. Partners may contact you by phone, text or email. Some partners compensate Seniors Places for these introductions. Under some state privacy laws this counts as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; you may opt out as described below. Communities with verified profiles (our Verified, Featured and Enterprise plans) and unverified profiles with a contact on file receive your inquiry directly, and nothing goes to a partner.
Community operators' systems. Some operators ask us to deliver inquiries directly into their customer relationship system or calendar. In that case your inquiry is sent to the operator's system as well as by email.
Service providers. Companies that host and run the Service for us: cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing (Stripe), maps and address lookup (Google), analytics, form protection, and review syndication. They may process your information only to provide their service to us.
Legal and business transfers. We may disclose information to comply with law, to protect people or property, or as part of a merger, sale or reorganization of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
We do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else for their own marketing.
Calls, texts and email
When you submit a form, you consent to be contacted about senior living options by Seniors Places, the community or communities named on the form and, where the form says so, our partner advisors. This may include calls and text messages, including with automated technology, to the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to end texts from that sender, and use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop those.
Your choices
- Opt out of partner sharing. Email [email protected] with "Do not share" and the email address or phone number you used. We will not pass future inquiries from you to partners, and we will ask partners who already received your details to stop contacting you.
- Marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in the message, or email us.
- Cookies and analytics. Your browser can block or delete cookies. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics, and Meta lets you control ad measurement from your account settings.
- Access, correction and deletion. Email us and we will show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to records we must keep (for example, proof of consent and billing history). Community managers can edit their own details in the portal.
- State privacy rights. Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Virginia), you may have the rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and to appeal a decision. Use the contact details below; we will respond within the time your state's law allows and will never treat you differently for exercising a right. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.
Retention
We keep inquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to document consent and delivery, then delete or de-identify them. Account information is kept while the account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Aggregate statistics are kept indefinitely because they identify no one.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable providers, and we limit who inside Seniors Places can see personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is for adults arranging care. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
When we change this policy we update the date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on the Service or email account holders. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
