More About Cedar Hill

Canton, NC 28716

In 1988, when nurses Mary Louise Horn and Judy Brogren first began Cedar Hill, the idea of continuing care (a model of care that attends to a wide range of retirement needs within one residence or campus) was in its infancy, showing up in journals and manifesting in a smattering of assisted living facilities. 30 years later, Cedar Hill is one of the most respected Continuing Care Communities in the region.

"People can come here when fairly independent & get basic services of housekeeping, meals, transportation, & maybe they don't need any personal care. As they stay here and age in place, there comes a time when they might need help with medication, bathing, therapy, so we have different steps, different levels of care and services."

We love what we do and work hard at it every day. It feels wonderful to have that recognized by happy families and residents. We can’t do what we do as well as we do without happily involved families. Our joy in serving them is contagious. Browse through some of our favorite testimonials below to see why serving seniors is our calling.

Our full spectrum of support services includes clinical coordination; skilled nursing care; and physical, occupational, cognitive, and speech therapy. In addition to our own doctors, we have a dentist, podiatrist and other specialists who make house calls.
