More About Chandler House

Through the doors of an 18th Century Cape Georgian House, in the heart of glorious Cape Town, Chandler House has made its home. The brainchild of curator, illustrator, ceramicist, and lover of all things beautiful, Mr. Michael Chandler, Chandler House is the little shop come gallery that celebrates a growing family of inspiring local artists and makers.

The shop’s shelves are stocked with homeware and gifts, unique antiques, objets d’art, handwoven textiles, and a selection of artworks by established and emerging artists.

Spied through the adjoining door of the shop, the ever-evolving Voorkamer Gallery hosts monthly exhibitions by Cape artists, while a studio upstairs is where Mr Chandler handcrafts his bespoke commissions, large-scale tiled murals & intimate prints.
