More About Crista Senior Living

Silverdale, WA 98383

Among the many unique elements of our Cristwood campus is the vibrancy of multigenerational living, as the community is located on the CRISTA Ministries campus that also houses King's Schools (Preschool-12th grade). Multigenerational living is an increasingly popular concept that allows older and younger generations to teach and learn from one another through meaningful and regular interactions. When someone moves to the Cristwood community, a fulfilling new chapter of their life begins, one that can be enriched considerably by the wisdom of youth. According to Cheri Burcham of the University of Illinois Extension, “Older adults can also benefit from their interactions with youth. They too can learn new skills, like technology, and often feel rejuvenated and energized after spending time with young ones. The more time spent with each other can also bring greater understanding and appreciation of each generation—their beliefs, values, and behaviors.
