More About New Horizons

Marlborough, MA 01752

Discover one of New England’s finest and most respected independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities We have several programs here at our independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in Marlborough. From an on-site pharmacy to a well-equipped fitness center, our retirement community offers everything you’ll need to settle comfortably into your new home. Unusual among other retirement communities in the greater Boston area, New Horizons at Marlborough offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care accommodations. It also offers a 25-room geri-psych facility operated by an independent provider. Active seniors enjoy their independent lifestyles when residing at The Meadows, and with 100 acres of wooded conservation land surrounding the entire New Horizons property, residents have remarkable views. All of our apartments include fully applianced kitchens, large tiled baths, and in-unit washers/dryers. Constructed in 2001, these apartments are completed with steel, concrete, and expansive windows. At The Meadows, residents are surrounded by 40 picturesque acres, adjacent to scenic conservation land in a quiet country residential neighborhood, offering a tranquil yet invigorating setting. Our expanded assisted living option offers the best of both worlds: All the independent amenities are included and daily personal-care services are available. Personal-care services are provided by certified home health aides under the direct supervision of licensed nurses, who are scheduled on site 24 hours a day. Skilled services such as nursing and physical, occupational, and speech therapy, paid for by Medicare, are also available on site for those who qualify. Additional private fitness options are also available. The Memory Care Program at New Horizons honors an individual’s story. All individuals are appreciated for who they are, for how they define their past and present, and for their current abilities and focus. Our program is one of acceptance, appreciation, and respect for each individual’s diversity, traditions, and personality. We focus on the emotional, physical, and environmental “positives” of our residents. We understand that each day is a new day and that abilities and interests change. It is not about having answers to every situation, but rather creating a sense of acceptance, non-judgment, and flow to the day. We believe each day should be pleasurable, inviting, active, and meaningful.
