A lot of new Wichita-area independent and assisted living facilities have sprouted up over the last few years. Large national corporations, seeing the oncoming Baby Boomer retirement bubble, have invested tens of millions of dollars to build often lavish and extravagant living accommodations with the hope of capitalizing on the surge of seniors. Unfortunately, families and retirement funds have to pay for the opulence, and the profits go back to some corporate office on the coast. Not so with Prairie Homestead Senior Living. Our Board members are all local (and it's not uncommon to see them stop in at lunch time to join us), and so everything we do is a reflection of our focus - right here in Wichita.
