Shalako East Quality Care, also known as Love and Joy AFH, is well worth checking out. My elderly brother needed end-of-life care. We visited Shalako twice, with very positive impressions. The rooms are good-sized with big windows looking out onto a nice yard. The atmosphere is very homey and the place is very clean. We liked TG, the main care provider. The charge was reasonable for the level of care he needed. TG and her husband Danny seem to have a heart for this type of nursing. Other residents seemed very content.
