Tucked away in a residential neighborhood, Sunrise of Decatur features beautiful gardens, shaded walking paths, and a charming wrap-around front porch to enjoy a book or conversation with friends. We have a strong relationship with Westchester Elementary and volunteer with many churches in the area. We are proud to offer a robust activities schedule each week, tailored to our residents’ interests and designed to engage the mind, body, and spirit. In addition to volunteering, our residents look forward to activities like Word in a Word, cocktail hour, baking hour, and our weekly outings to attractions like Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, Atlanta Braves games, Fernbank Science Center, and Fernbank Museum of Natural History. We are devoted to providing our residents support and services, based on research and theories of aging—working hard to fulfill our mission to champion quality of life for all seniors. Our founder, Paul Klaassen said, “The best senior living has yet to be invented,” and we take this to heart. To us, this means committing to continuous quality improvement by learning from our past experiences and current residents and families.
