Community & Location Highlights: Conveniently located on Deer Park Road (Route 231) between the Long Island Expressway (I-495) and Northern State Parkway. Offers assisted living, memory care for those living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, and short-term respite stays. Medical support is provided by Huntington Hospital, part of the Long Island Jewish healthcare system, one of the state’s largest hospital networks. Additional on-site medical care is provided by our 24 hour nursing staff, along with visiting primary care physicians, podiatrists, physical and occupational therapists, portable radiology services and phlebotomy services. 20 minutes from Cold Spring Harbor and the Heckscher Museum of Art. On-site community bistro, beauty parlor and barber shop, wraparound porch with rocking chairs and private dining room for residents and their families to use for special occasions. Pet-friendly community At Sunrise of Dix Hills, New York, we offer best-in-class quality of personalized, life-enriching care to our residents. From posh residences in a Victorian-style estate to upscale restaurant-style dining, our residents get to enjoy the finer things in life. Our community is always bustling with activity and friendly conversations. Dinner is a spotlight event, especially when beef brisket au jus or chicken marsala is being served. We are flexible enough to enable our most independent residents to maintain full, busy lives through a variety of events and activities. Some of our residents’ favorite activities include bocce ball, intergenerational cooking classes and painting classes. Long walks through our beautiful enclosed garden is especially enriching for our residents with memory care needs. They also enjoy sharing daily visits with Nina the cockapoo or Buddy, our one year old cat. Every member of our team is passionate about filling our community with positive energy—ensuring that it’s a fun, exciting place to call home. Our community is never stuffy or closed off—it’s a place where everyone knows each other’s name.
