Welcome to Telacu Housing – Alhambra a 66 unit Senior (62+) Project-Based Rental with accessible units. Since this property was built using funding through HUD's Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly program, residency is restricted to persons who earn 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or less. Like other rental assistance programs like Section 8, resident's rents are based on their income and the tenant contribution is set at 30% of the tenants income. Telacu Housing – Alhambra is a HUD Apartment. HUD residents usually pay 30% of their gross income for rent. The rent amount, less approved HUD deductions such as medical and child care expenses, and other allowances, includes a utility allowance. HUD Residents also may choose to pay what is known as flat rent. The HACC works with applicants to determine which rent arrangement is best for them.
