More About The Gardens at Park Balboa

Los Angeles, CA 91405

Located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley in Van Nuys, California is The Gardens at Park Balboa, a community offering independent, assisted living, and memory care services. Take a stroll through the open courtyard or visit with your loved ones in one of our several cozy nooks scattered throughout the community. Your pets are welcome, too! Here at The Gardens at Park Balboa, we do not enforce strict schedules, but instead encourage residents to create their own. We understand that every individual is unique and has their own preferences and needs, which is why we take the time to create customized care packages for each resident. We want to do whatever we can to make sure that you are comfortable in your new home. Our staff will sit down with you and get to know your likes and dislikes, so that we can provide the perfect balance between care and freedom.

At The Gardens at Park Balboa, we want you to experience the freedom of being home without the household chores. There is no need to stress over what to cook—our chef has you covered, preparing a variety of healthy and savory options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which you can enjoy in our restaurant-themed dining hall or in the comfort of your own room. Our staff is available 24/7 to provide assistance with daily living activities as well as medication and diet management, activity assistance, and more. We also take care of all housekeeping and laundry services, so you can spend your time doing what you enjoy.

Feel a sense of peace knowing that residents living with Alzheimer’s and dementia will receive the personalized care that they need at Safe Haven, our memory care community within The Gardens at Park Balboa. Staff in our Safe Haven community are specially trained in progressive memory care techniques. With a vast list of activities, such as live entertainment, exercise and wellness sessions, or even off-site trips to sporting events or the nearby shopping malls, we’re sure you’ll find something that is perfect for you. Group activities, such as flower arranging and music therapy, are available to improve residents’ sense of serenity. We also schedule routine visits with local doctors to ensure that the ever-changing needs of each resident are met as quickly as possible.
