More About The Kensington

Walnut Creek, CA 94597

Kensington Place is housed in an elegant cream-colored facility at the urban heart of Walnut Creek. Fresh and silk flower arrangements grace the foyer and common areas. When we entered, the receptionist greeted us cordially before returning to a resident’s story. Comfortable furnishings upholstered in warmly colored stripes and floral patterns are arranged into seating areas that accommodate privacy while encouraging socialization. One of these areas hosted a friendly card game during our tour.

Skylights in the vaulted ceiling spill sunlight over the dining room. Red and pink floral designs add cheer to the neutral-colored room. We laughed and joked with a group of lively residents as they patiently waited for lunch. A buffet laden with fresh salads and soups supplements the four healthy entrées offered during lunch and dinner. Silk plants and comfortable seating abound in the wide hallways. Residents furnish their own rooms, which are available in three different floor plans; many feature balconies or patios. In the bathrooms, benches and grab bars add practicality to the walk-in showers.
