Portland is also home to OHSU, an Alzheimers Disease Research Center funded by the National Institute on Aging. Windsor Gardens Memory Care exclusively serves the needs of residents with memory loss conditions. Its a secure property that uses a computerized system to warn staff if a resident is at risk of wandering from safe areas. It also has the capacity to accept seniors who exhibit difficult behaviors, including aggressive acts, and theres always a registered nurse and other caregivers on-site and a physician on call. Respite and hospice care are also offered. ….
