Over 60 years ago, Riley and Margaret Evans, a farmer and schoolteacher, built a small assisted living facility and several small houses in Bladen County, NC to meet the needs of aging neighbors. Riley and Margaret had five children who attended NC universities and settled in NC with their families. Their children have worked hard to continue their parents’ dream and have developed numerous communities that provide exceptional health care and housing for seniors today.
