More About Wyoming Pioneer Home

Thermopolis, WY 82443

The Wyoming Pioneer Home (WPH), owned and operated by the Wyoming Department of Health, is licensed as an assisted living facility in Thermopolis. WPH was established by state legislation in 1949 and is part of the department’s Aging Division.

Located on 5 ½ acres in beautiful Hot Springs State Park, our 84,000 square feet living space includes both single and double private rooms.

Our goal at the Wyoming Pioneer Home is to meet each resident’s needs in a home-like atmosphere while maintaining the highest possible levels of choice, dignity, respect, privacy and individuality. WPH offers a maintenance-free environment. We want our residents to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant home while we also provide outstanding care to meet their individual needs. Charges are determined by a person’s ability to pay.

Unlike a nursing home, WPH is dedicated to providing an environment that promotes independent living for as long as possible. We are here for those who need a level of assistance higher than that of a retirement community but not as extensive as a nursing home. The variety of services we offer enables residents to create their own lifestyles and, in turn, allows us to meet their needs as changes occur.

With our dietary and housekeeping services, residents are free to enjoy their lives without the hassle of cooking or cleaning. Activities at WPH allow residents to socialize and participate in community events.
