Ducked away from the street, ditmas park care center is a quiet refuge in a residential flatbush neighborhood. the weathered awning over the entry was a bit off-putting, but once we entered the facility, the efforts of a recent renovation won us over. the lobby boasts new wood paneling, diamond-shaped mosaics in the beige tile floors, ornate frames bordering lovely paintings and posh yet comfortable furnishings. the recently added aviary attracted many resident birdwatchers on the day of our visit.
